Ilyas Asghar Jul 21, 2017 07:01PM NZST

hi there,

I am using restlet client in chrome to access web PPSR API witrh sandbox URL.

POST https://api.business.govt.nz/services/v1/companies-office/ppsr/financing-statements/123456/action-discharge

i am getting the response "501 Not Implemented" for every request. the response body i get is always the same as request and i am also getting the response header.

In code i am getting the same exception "501 Not Implemented" and no response is received. Can you please guide us in this regard with examples.

MBIE API Support

Hi Ilyas,

The v1 “prototype” API which you have linked below is only a definition at this stage. It allows the user to explore the API and “design by contract” or estimate the changes / work required.

Therefore none of the methods will work when you “try it out” via the API console page. The v1 prototype API will always reflect our latest revision of the API as we plan to launch it a go live.

We do have a working sandbox API here:
https://api.business.govt.nz/api/apis/info?name=PPSR&version=v0.2&provider=mbiecreator&

We are currently at v0.2 and will increment this with each new release of APIs / functions (eventually going to v1 which will match the prototype completely).

The sandbox only “stubs” operations: PPSR_40, PPSR_02, PPSR_17, PPSR_03 and PPSR_34. The sandbox provides a very rudimentary set of v0.2 compliant API responses. It does not persist the data you send nor apply full validation. It is intended to build familiarity with using our API store and also initial testing of your intended client frameworks and general payload / header familiarisation.

We will be incrementally building upon the sandbox. Our first API deployment on a full working register will be in September 2017.

Feel free to ask any further questions directly to me or preferably on our API on-line forum for the benefit of all, which you can find here:
