Companies Office welcomes expression of interest to join our API pilot

Last Updated: May 17, 2017 03:25PM NZST

The New Zealand Companies Office provides a number of APIs. These allow third party software providers to integrate their software with the registers that the Companies Office administers.

The Companies API currently offers integration with the Companies Register to enable filing of an annual return or company information updates like director, shareholding and other general company details such as addresses.

For further detail about this API, please refer to the API Explorer website.

We’re now excited to develop this API further by adding the ability to reserve a company name and incorporate a company.

As part of this new API development we’re looking for expressions of interest from innovative business to join our pilot API community. For further details contact by 16 June 2017.

What you will get

You’ll get the chance to work with us to help shape the API in the next stage of its development so that it meets the needs of the wider market. It’ll also give you an early insight into what potential opportunities exist to take to the market.

What we need from you

We’ll require commitment to provide customer feedback at regular points and an intention to integrate our API within your software product in a timely manner.

We’ll begin development in June 2017 and release incrementally until later in the year.

Next step

We welcome software providers to join early adopters of this new Companies API. If you’re interested in further detail please contact by 16 June 2017.
